Fisher (n\u00e9 en 1937) a gravi les \u00e9chelons depuis son poste d'ouvrier p\u00e9trolier pr\u00e8s de sa ville natale de Lacombe, en Alberta, jusqu'\u00e0 devenir un pilier du secteur des services et de l'approvisionnement. Tout au long de son parcours, il a \u00e9tabli des normes industrielles gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses innovations en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En l'espace de dix ans, M. Fisher a transform\u00e9 son premier emploi avec une unit\u00e9 de slickline Otis en gestion du forage et de la production pour 11 \u00c9tats et tout le Canada au nom de Cabeen Exploration depuis le bureau de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 Denver. En 1966, il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 Midalta Wireline avec deux partenaires, et lorsqu'ils se sont s\u00e9par\u00e9s en 1968, il est devenu le seul propri\u00e9taire de la plus grande flotte priv\u00e9e de composants pour l'entretien des puits. Il a fait de CenAlta Oilwell Services la plus grande flotte priv\u00e9e de plates-formes d'entretien de puits au monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 1999, M. Fisher a fusionn\u00e9 CenAlta avec Petro Well Energy Services et a partag\u00e9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 publique jusqu'\u00e0 ce que Precision Drilling Corp. la rach\u00e8te en 2000. \u00c0 60 ans, il consacre alors toute son \u00e9nergie \u00e0 Crown Energy Technologies, un fabricant innovant d'\u00e9quipements p\u00e9troliers sur mesure, qu'il avait fond\u00e9 en 1987. Crown a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier fabricant \u00e0 proposer des commandes par joystick sur les plates-formes de forage. En f\u00e9vrier 2000, Crown a \u00e9tabli une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des v\u00e9hicules en construisant le premier porte-\u00e9quipement conforme aux normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des v\u00e9hicules automobiles du Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M. Fisher est depuis longtemps actif au sein de la Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, de la Canadian Petroleum Service Alliance et de la Society of Canadian Petroleum Engineers. Membre du comit\u00e9 consultatif du Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, il a fait don d'un appareil de forage en \u00e9tat de marche pour permettre aux \u00e9tudiants d'acqu\u00e9rir une exp\u00e9rience sur le terrain. Une section de l'\u00e9tablissement porte son nom et il a re\u00e7u un dipl\u00f4me honorifique de Bachelor of Applied Technology en 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M. Fisher soutient STARS, contribue \u00e0 des \u0153uvres de bienfaisance locales et, en 1995, a lanc\u00e9 la CenAlta FUTURES Foundation en partenariat avec des clients de CenAlta afin de financer des programmes pour les jeunes en milieu rural.
